As you will see, when it comes to the land, we are not shy of hard work, or resistant to new ideas. We were also pretty assiduous from the early days, in documenting our activities in a diary and with photographs. We listened to several people who suggested that we create some kind of digital archive/website.
We nodded and agreed and did - nothing! The idea of creating a website pushed us way out of our comfort zone. One of our Liddells friends even offered help by setting up a webpage and suggesting how we might get started. We nodded and agreed and for two years did - nothing!
As in all good stories, there was a third gauntlet thrown down. Unbeknownst to us, Clare's daughter Mathilda had been working on a prototype website using photographs Clare had sent her in text messages and emails updating her on progress at Liddells. Mathilda effectively swept the rug from under our feet by presenting us with her gift. We could not refuse. Since then she has put in hours working more on the website and then has shown saintly patience and excellent teaching skills as she has handed the project over to us. We are both touched by her creating such a lovely way of supporting us. Thank you Mathilda.
Thanks too to those of you who have sent us your photographs, some of which you will see that we have included. We have acknowledged some photographers specifically but thanks are to all. Even though we can't use them all, we would love you to continue to send them to us.
